Only vetted or nationally recognized news outlets will be guaranteed press passes. ALL FAN-RUN press outlets/channels and INFLUENCER applications will not be guaranteed approval.

Applications of all types who are applying for the first time and have not been vetted by San Japan as a reliable press outlet will only receive one convention badge if they are approved.  This policy is being put in place due too many dubious press applications who are not submitting press about San Japan after the convention. We do not consider convention pre-press as vetting.

Please look for an email with a notification of acceptance.  A secondary form will be sent at around 5 DAYS before the convention which will allow Press to RSVP for press amenities.

 

By applying to receive press passes you agree to grant San Japan, LLC, and affiliated organizations universal unlimited distribution rights of content captured, created, or produced during the convention. This content will only be used in promotional activities. The content creators retain original copyrights and all other distribution rights. The original creator will be credited for all content used.

You will receive an auto-response that we have received your application. We send out press application acceptance e-mails around 5 days prior to the convention.

Repeatedly inquiring about approval status will severely affect your approval this year and future applications.
