3. Termination notice – leaving the nursery
'Term' below refers to school terms. The dates of each term are given on the nursery website.
Please all the termination terms and conditions below carefully – they vary depending on when you give notice.
-------
BEFORE AND DURING YOUR CHILD'S FIRST HALF TERM OF ATTENDANCE
Terminating (cancelling) your place during the enrolment process – BEFORE your child has started attending – OR during your child's first half term
In submitting the enrolment form you are committing to taking the place.
If you inform us that you wish to terminate your place (withdraw from the nursery) either:
– during the enrolment period (this means after submitting your enrolment form but before your child attends their first session) OR
– during the first half term of attendance
you must pay whichever is the greater of either the first half term fees in full (at the non-funded rate) OR whatever fees (at the non-funded rate) would be payable for your place for the 6 weeks from the date that you inform us that you are terminating the place.
-------
AFTER THE END OF YOUR CHILD'S FIRST HALF TERM
Giving notice during Autumn 1, Autumn 2, Spring 1, Spring 2, (including during all holidays up to and including the holiday between Spring 2 and Summer 1):
SIX WEEKS NOTICE IN WRITING, or payment in lieu of notice, must be given if you wish to withdraw your child from the nursery.
Giving notice during Summer 1:
SIX WEEKS NOTICE IN WRITING, or payment in lieu of notice, must be given if you wish to withdraw your child from the nursery.
HOWEVER, THE LEAVE DATE (i.e. six weeks from the date of giving notice) CANNOT BE DURING THE SUMMER 2 TERM.
This means that if you want your child to leave before the end of Summer 2, they must leave at the end of Summer 1 and the latest date to give notice will be at least 6 weeks before the start of Summer 2.
The nursery does not allow places to be terminated during Summer 2. The reason for this is that we cannot fill the vacated places.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
– Terminating a funded place
If you terminate a funded place (a place funded using the Government 15/30 hour nursery funding) and your child DOES NOT ATTEND during the notice period, you must pay the notice period fees at the FULL NON-FUNDED RATE. This is because we will not be able to claim the Government funding for this period.

4. Making changes to your place
In completing this enrolment form, you are committing to taking the place with the specific days stated in your offer. You cannot drop (withdraw from) days that make up that place.
If you wish to change your place, by increasing or reducing days, or changing the specified days of your place, you must make a change request.
You do this by emailing the office team stating the pattern (days per week) that you would like to change to. We will add your request to our internal waiting list. We will offer to switch your child to the new, requested place as soon as it is available. After the switch, all T&Cs you have agreed to – including those in this enrolment form and any others sent later – will apply to the new place.
We will always try to offer the place requested as soon as possible, as we want families to have the sessions that work for them. But it may take a long time before we can do so, and sometimes may not happen at all. Place availability depends on various factors – including the pattern of sessions that will remain after any new place is created – and is decided by the management.
These internal change requests are given priority over new enrolments.
5. Start and finish times If your child cannot attend one of their sessions please tell us by 8.30am (for morning sessions) or 12.00pm (for afternoon sessions), via our contact telephone number (see contact page of the website). If parents/carers are running late they must inform the nursery as soon as possible and staff will make arrangements, where possible, to delay the group and/or in exceptional circumstances will agree an alternative drop-off point. Children cannot be cared for outside the normal nursery hours, therefore Into The Woods reserves the right to charge £15 per child for every 15 minutes late in collection.
6. Communication Parents/carers participation in a constructive and effective two-way communication practice is vital to ensure their child’s ongoing positive development. Parents/carers are required to share any concerns they may have with the manager of Into The Woods via telephone, email (contact details on the website) or in person.
