    The Lincoln County Fair Goat Show is an ADGA sanctioned Open Dairy Goat show being held at the Lincoln County Fair Grounds on Sunday September 20, 2026 hosted by The Highland Rim Dairy Goat Club.

    SHOW DESCRIPTION

    OPEN SHOW

    Sunday, September 20th at 9am

     

    1- Ring Senior and Junior doe Combined Show and Junior Show sanctioned separately by ADGA

     

    Judge- Timothy Flickinger

     

    Entry fees are $5 per animal for entries received on or before September 6th, 2026. Late entries after September 6th, 2026 through September 15th, 2026 will be $8 per animal. Scratches and replacements will be accepted day of show at check-in.  We will be accepting entries until barns are at capacity or September 15th at 9pm, which ever comes first. No new entries will be accepted at check-in.

     

    Check-in: Begins at 7am. All goats must be checked in by 8:30 am CST. Youth Showmanship will take place immediately after check-in. Classes begin at 9 am.

    Youth Showmanship will begin at 8:45 am. Classes will be Pee-wee ages 4-6, Junior ages 7-10, Intermediate 11-14, and Senior 15-18. Youth Showmansjip is not sanctioned or paid out.

     

    Specialty classes will be Dam and Daughter,  Dairy herd, Best Udder in show, Best 3 Jr doe, BIS Jr and Sr and Champion Challenger.

    2nd- $10

    3rd- $5

    Grand- $15

    Reserve- $10

    BIS $15

    Specialty classes are paid the same as open classes.

    Champion Challenge- $23 one pay out

    Herdsman Award- This award is given to the exhibitor who demonstrates the spirit of the fair with fair-goers, tidiness of pen space and cooperation with officials. $23

     

    ADGA rules and guidelines shall govern.

     

    Sanctioned breeds &show order: Nubian, Alpines, Saanen, Lamancha, Nigerian Dwarf, Recorded Grade, AOP. All other breeds will be sanction under AOP. This is the tentative breed order, but it is subject to change, and the final order will be posted the day of the show.

     

    Original registration papers are required for animals six months of age or older. Stamped duplicates will be accepted for kids younger than six months. Papers must be shown at check-in along with a current CVI less than 90 days old.

     

    The base date of for computing animal's age is Septemeber 20th, 2026.

     

    No pre-show milk out.

     

    No horned animals.

    Absolutely NO Dogs in barn area, show ring or pens. Show committee has the right to ban individuals from the show who are unruly. Show committee has the right to deny access to animals who are unthrifty or obviously ill.

     

    The show will be held at the Lincoln County Fair Grounds, located at  

     1003 Hedgemont Avenue, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

  • CVIs

    Health certificates from a licensed veterinarian are required within 90 days of the show date for all Tennessee participants (30 day for out-of-state animals).  Out-of-state animals require a Negative TB and Brucellosis test within 30 days of show (No Test Required if you come from a free state) or originate from a certificate and accredited herd. Health certificates as well as TB and Brucellosis forms will be required at check-in before animals are unloaded. The show committee will check the health documentations. Please use the Barn Superintendent's phone number of (865) 441-7311 if needed for a health certificate.

     

    PENS

    Pens are available for $5.00 each. We have twenty six (26) 6 x 8 ft pens and twenty (20) 4.5 x 7.5 ft pens available in the sheep barn and roughly eighty five (85) 5 x 7 ft pens in the swine barn available to us. We do not want to run out of pens and are asking everyone to please be as conservative as possible when reserving. NO TACK STALLS AVAILABLE until after the August 24th early entry deadline. Shavings will be available at the show site. You are more than welcome to show from your trailer!!! Please indicate on your entry form that you’d prefer to show from trailer to reserve one of these spots.

     

    Parking

    General trailer parking is available to the rear of the show barns in a separate area (please see layout below). For those coming in Saturday night, there will be NO electrical hookups available. Please indicate on your entry form that you will be staying overnight with us.

  • Concessions

    Food will be available in the form of fair food and the vendors at the fair.

  • Arrive by way of Hedgemont Ave on to Mayberry and Amana Ave.
