The Baltimore Fiscal Projects Stability Fund is a time-bound initiative created to provide one-time, unrestricted financial support to projects and organizations previously fiscally-sponsored by Strong City Baltimore (SCB). The purpose of the Fund is to acknowledge the harm suffered by fiscally-sponsored projects in Baltimore and support their ability to meet the needs of the Baltimore community.
To be eligible for a grant, the applicant must still be a legal entity, even if it is no longer operational. In reviewing applications, the Stability Fund will prioritize applicants whose board and staff are 60% or more Black, Indigenous, or Persons of Color (BIPOC), and that can demonstrate that they were financially harmed as a result of their fiscal sponsorship agreement with SCB.
The Stability Fund is administered by the Fund for Educational Excellence and is made possible by the generous support of Open Society Institute-Baltimore. The Stability Fund is not a project of SCB nor affiliated with SCB in any way.
To apply for a grant, please complete the application below to the best of your ability. If you have questions, please email Tara Huffman, the Stability Fund's program manager, at theadvocatesassistant@gmail.com.
Applications will open on July 31, 2023 and close on September 8, 2023. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and awards will be made until funds are depleted.
