We have formed a coalition to lobby for the following from our state legislators to ease Georgia's homeless pet crisis:
1) a Pet Education portal to address some of the reasons pets end up in shelters, 2) a Pet Owner Resources Database where Georgians can find low-cost or no-cost services and products for pets they are struggling to feed or care for listing the more than 700 non-profit organizations based in Georgia, and 3) a social media Public Service Messaging campaign to make more Georgians aware of the crisis and to encourage more of them to fix their pets.
