  • Thank you for your interest in the 2025 Union County Fair Pageant.  We are excited that our 2025 Pageant Application is now available for you to fill out online.

    Please read this application information carefully and in its full entirety.  Please be sure to sign the application where indicated and submit it.  Once your document has been submitted, please mail your photos and payment as directed in item # 2 below.

    Please be aware that there will be absolutely no late/or day of entries this year.   Also be aware that if you have not submitted payment and any photos that are due by noon on August 29th your child WILL NOT BE IN THE PAGEANT.

    The 2025 Fair Pageant will be held in the Activities Building at the Union County Fair Grounds on September 6, 2025. 

    Age Divisions 0-9 years will start at 10:00 a.m.

    Age Divisions 10-23 years will start at 1:30 p.m.

    Contestant check-in times will be provided closer to the pageant date.

    Entry Fee (for all ages) is $60.00

    Sibling Discount – If you have more than one child competing, after the first $60 entry fee is paid, each additional entry fee will be $30 (plus any side awards).  Please note this is for siblings within same household.

     

    Side Awards (Smile, Eyes, Hair) Entry Fee is $5.00 per category.  Please note that Side Awards must be selected at the time of submittal of your entry form.  There will be no late or day of entries.  More information will be given on the actual application.

    There are two different photogenic divisions you can enter this year.  They are both open to all ages.  Each Photogenic Entry Fee is $10.00.    More information will be given on the actual application.

    Each contestant and ONE adult will be given free admission.  Children under the age of 6 get in for free.  Persons over the age of 6 will be charged a $5.00 entry fee payable at the door.

    All contestants must be a legal resident of Union County and cannot compete/or compete in any other County Fair(s).  In order for a college student to compete in the county or district fair where you are currently attending college, you must have completed one full semester, be a full time student, and currently be carrying 12 credit hours. 

    All contestants must be their specified age by September 6, 2025.

       

    RULES:

    1.        Contestant Applications/payment/photos must be received by the deadline time/date of noon on  August 29, 2025.  You will need to mail your payment and photos if you are entering most photogenic.

     

    2.        Please mail payments and photos to:

              Checks should be made out to:  Union County Fair

     

    3.        Entries/payments will be accepted until Noon,  August 29, 2025.  There will be no late entries after this time (NO EXCEPTIONS).

     

    4.        Checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged an additional $50 fee.  The application will be marked void until funds are delivered in cash prior to the deadline date mentioned in item # 1 listed above.

     

    5.        In the event the winning contestant (Miss Union County & Jr. Miss Union County) is unable to attend the Arkansas State Fair (ASF) to compete, the opportunity will then be extended to the 1st Runner Up in that division.  The Queen of that division will be able to retain her title regardless of attending the ASF Pageant.  Thank you ASF for this change!!  

     

    6.        Per ASF guidelines – A contestant must have been born a female.  She cannot be, become, or at any time have been married, engaged, had a marriage annulled, pregnant, or have had a child.  Contestants must not have ever been convicted of any crime or have any criminal charges pending.

     

    7.        Previous winners may not enter the same age division again.

     

    8.        All contestants must be a legal resident of Union County and cannot compete/or compete in any other County Fair(s).

     

    9.        It is imperative that Contestants check in at their assigned times (not before/not after).  Assigned check-in times help ensure we have a smooth and time efficient pageant.

     

    10.   It is imperative that Contestants (and parents) are present and are listening to announcements for age divisions being called to the Stage.  TARDINESS WILL RESULT IN THE CONTESTANT BEING UNABLE TO COMPETE.

     

    11.   Dress maybe formal or casual (typically formal).  This decision is at the parents’ discretion.

     

    12.   Makeup is allowed but should be age appropriate.

     

    13.   Fair & impartial judges are chosen (not from El Dorado area).  Contestants/parents/families are not to approach the Judges at any time.    Their decision will be final.  Contestants/parents/families are not to approach the Pageant Director at any time on Pageant Day concerning scores or judging.  Score sheets WILL NOT be made available.  Contestants will be judged on facial beauty, stage presentation, attitude, personality and overall appearance.

     

    14.   The UCF Pageant Director has the right to at any time to set a contestant limit (stop taking entries) to for each age catagory. 

     

    15.   No formal rehearsals will be held.  However, the stage will be open (times will be announced) for practice prior to the pageant.

     

    16.   The Dressing Area space is VERY LIMITED.  It is requested and recommended that contestants arrive to the venue fully dressed (hair, makeup, dress) at their assigned times.  For contestants using the Dressing Area, you will only be allowed ONE adult to accompany you.  Failure to comply with this rule will result in automatic disqualification.

     

    17.   Jr. Miss and Miss Union County Contestants are to arrive to the venue fully dressed and prepared for their personal interview with the Judges.

     

    18.   Jr. Miss and Miss Union County Contestants will be allowed in the Dressing Area to change following their interviews.

     

    19.   ASF is no longer requiring Jr. Miss & Miss contestants to compete in Active Wear.  Thank you ASF for this change!!

     

    20.   Please treat our Activities Building with the utmost respect and clean up after yourself when the event is over.  We do ask that you please not bring food or drink inside the facility.

     

    21.   The Union County Fair is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.

    23.   Any display of poor sportsmanship &/or unbecoming conduct, any interference &/or disturbance, or any other behavioral problem created by a contestant chaperone, parent, relative or even a supporter of a contestant could and will result in disqualification of the contestant not only from the current contest by also from future contests.  IN THE EVENT THIS SITUATION SHOULD OCCUR ALL PRIZES, CROWNS AND TITLE WILL BE REVOKED!!

                  Also, understand & agree that contestant/parent/guardian/family members are not to approach the Judges or Director. It is understood that poor sportsmanship and unbecoming conduct or interference of anykind will result in disqualification and will be asked to leave without a refund.

                  All decisions are based on Judges scores and not that of the directors.  Score Sheets will not be made available and all decisions are final. 

                  Contestant/parent/guardian understand and agree that competition information & photos maybe used for publicity purposes.  

                  Refunds will not be given for any reason (unless pageant is cancled by UCF).  Contestant/parent/guardian will take full responsibility for & agree to release the Union County Fair Association, Director, Staff, Volunteers & Facility from all liability for any loss, damages, or debts incurred or made by the contestant in connection with the pageant.
