2023-2024 Confidential Tuition/Tour Scholarship Application
The Tucson Girls Chorus provides financial assistance/scholarships based on need. Decisions pertaining to to financial assistance/scholarships are made at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee without regard to race, color, religion, or ethnic background.

This application is for those in our full season programs: Bumblebee Singers, Ladybugs Choir, Hummingbirds Choir, Mariposa Singers, Jubilate Choir, and Advanced Choir. For the short season application (Tutti Choir, Pop Acapella Group, Early Childhood Classes), click HERE.

PLEASE READ!

To complete this application, you need:

1. 2022 tax return (1040) showing your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)

2. If employed: the last two paycheck stubs from each employed parent/guardian.

If unemployed or on SSI:

A statement from the appropriate agency, stating the last date the benefit was paid.

OR

A letter from the former employer stating the last day of employment.

OR

A letter from the employer stating a reduction in hours and/or wages.

3. A paragraph from your singer indicating interest in joining the TGC.

4. (OPTIONAL) Families may submit a letter to describe extenuating circumstances/clarify information.

**Important information for split households**

If parents are divorced or separated and there is divided financial contribution to the child, the above information is ALSO required of the second parent. If unable to get this information, please state in a letter the special circumstance.

Once you have gathered the above documentation, it takes approximately 10 minutes to complete the application.

Your application will not be considered without the above documentation.

If your singer will be in a touring choir (Mariposa, Jubilate or Advanced), this application also applies to Tour Scholarships. Simply indicate that you wish to be considered for a Tour Scholarship later in the application.

Important Information on Split Households

If the singer is living in a split household and the financial support is divided equally, TGC requires financial information from both parents. If unable to get the non-custodial parents’ financial information, submit a letter of special circumstances on the next page to help explain the situation.
