The Appellate Skills Development Subcommittee is designed to engage and involve less-experienced appellate lawyers who may wish to develop their appellate skill set, professional networks, and in some states credit toward specialist certification by preparing amicus briefs—pro bono or otherwise in accordance with firm-sponsored professional development programs—on behalf of The Center for Law and Public Policy.
Membership on the subcommittee is limited and you must be a member of DRI and its Appellate Advocacy Committee to be selected for the Appellate Skills Development Subcommittee.
If you would like an opportunity to hone and showcase your amicus brief writing skills, please consider completing this application, which will be closely evaluated by members of the DRI Center for Law and Public Policy’s Amicus Committee.
