    Monthly Subscription
  • Hello everyone,

I'm thrilled to announce the launch of my new Watercolor Subscription Service, designed to bring together a vibrant community of artists.

With this monthly subscription, you'll gain access to resources that will support your artistic journey. Every month you will be sent an instructional video of me painting a specific subject, for example, animals, flowers, landscapes, buildings, etc. I will include a refence line drawing, color suggestions and other watercolor tips. This step-by-step tutorial will guide you through the process ensuring that you grasp each technique and detail.

The true gem of this subscription service is the monthly live critique session held over Zoom. During these sessions, I will personally review your paintings and provide constructive feedback to help you refine your techniques. These monthly gatherings will develop our community as well as our painting skill. It's also a real learning experince to see several different renditons of the same subject.

With your subscription you will also receive access to my private Facebook page for this group. Here my students can post images or ask questions about the watercolor process

The video, the support materials, the Zoom critique, and a few surprises thrown in is only $30 CDN per month (~$21 US). It's a small investment that will bring immense value to your artistic journey.

    Looking forward to painting together!

    Best regards,

    Jess

  • In this fun lesson you will learn how to work wet into wet (wet paper and very wet paint). This lesson is fun as watch the colors bleed together to make some interesting colors and patterns. Also, you will learn about painting the negative shapes around the flowers and the birdhouse to make them appear closer.

  • This rooster is so fun to paint as he can be any color you like. I will show you how to create realistic eyes and work with negative shapes to create feathers that look layered. In this lesson you will also learn how to leave your whites so you can come back later and add fresh color, such as the talons on this tough guy.

    For my left handed students

I also provide videos and line drawing that have been reversed. I think this has really helped some of my left handed students as they can see how you pull the paint with your brush rather than pushing paint.
