Read this over carefully and please follow all the instructions. Failure to do so may result in undesirable results. BEFORE THE TREATMENT: • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before the procedure • Do not exercise within 12 hours of your appt • Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energizing drinks on the day of procedure • Do not tan or sun bathe 30 days before procedure • Do not wax 2-3 days before procedure • Do not have any chemical peels, dermabrasions, mesotherapy, botox, vitamin A derivatives (Retin-A), topical steroids or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and skin irritation 3-4 weeks before procedure. • You must be at least one year off acne treatments such as Accutane. •You cannot be pregnant or nursing WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE •Slight redness and discomfort may be present for the first two days. •The day after your procedure, the color will appear darker as it begins to heal. •If you strictly follow after care you should have very minimal flaking beginning around the 5th day. DO NOT pick, scratch or peel any skin as his will pull pigment out. •As your eyebrows heal, you will see strokes widen, and the color will soften. •Once flaking is complete, there will still be a nearly invisible layer of skin that will make your color appear faded. Within the first two weeks of flaking you will notice the color start to come back as the skin repairs itself. •Depending on skin type and proper aftercare it is not unusual to see a few strokes fade or disappear from the skin. After the 4-6 week healing period, you can get them touched up. •The touch up is to go over the freckles again, or replace any that may have disappeared. This is why the treatment is a two-step process. •Your touch up will ensure the longevity of your color. AFTER CARE: Aftercare is extremely important to follow, to ensure good retention of the pigment during the healing process. • Do not contact with water or any other liquids than what was recommended for 10 days after the treatment. Even a small drop which seems unimportant may expand the wound and scabbing will appear . •Clean the area with a small amount of water on a cotton pad 2-4 times a day for the first day. This will help remove any excess lymph, blood and pigment that may appear after the procedure. • In case of dryness, but not earlier that the 3rd day, apply a very small amount of coconut or grapeseed oil. Make sure your freckles are not greasy, but just moistened a little so you won’t see any residue of the oil. • After 1 week you may use a gentle soap or non greasy facial cleanser to keep your face clean. • Avoid applying any makeup to the freckle area, DO NOT get concealer, powder or anything on the area for at least two weeks. • Do not use other ointments, cream with vitamins or antibiotics on eyebrows during the healing process. • No sunbathing or tanning for 4 weeks. • No chemical peels, mesotherapy, dermabrasion, botox and any other strong treatments for 3-4 weeks. •Avoid exercise that causes excessive sweating for at least a week •Avoid excessively hot showers for at least 10 days. •No hot tubs or swimming until your freckles have healed. •Keep your hands away from the area, no picking or scratching the treated area. •Use a fresh pillowcase and avoid sleeping on your face.
