Eligibility For Recognition: A Learning Community

Our research shows that communities who identify challenges, and face and overcome these challenges through learning are successful. A Learning Community is a group of people defined according to their own criteria from a formal society to an informal staff or youth group. Lifelong Learning Canada (LLC) want to recognize and promote your success and encourage other communities across Canada to be a learning community too.

You are eligible to apply for this award if you:

1. Have a solved a community challenge.

2. That the solution is attributed/connected to learning.

Lifelong Learning Canada (LLC) Highlights:
- LLC is a volunteer, charitable organization that champions lifelong learning across Canada.
- One goal of the LLC is to help learners of all ages to keep on learning in a Gifting program of learning subsidy and scholarship program.
- LLC brings in money for this gifting goal through a variety of activities including the Learning Community Recognition program.
- The intent of this Learning Community Recognition program is two-fold: to recognize, celebrate and share the successful community learning from across Canada.
- The outcome of this Recognition program is a strong Canada filled with communities that Keep On Learning.
This award has a lithium colored apple that represents the critical mineral Lithium. Lithium is a critical mineral for energy.
Similar to Lithium, Learning Communities are precious to Canada. With Learning Communities, Canada is strong and resilient.
