The Credential Scholarship Program was designed to provide educational opportunities for those who wish to further their professional careers through the NAAEI Credential Program. The criteria and requirements listed below must be agreed to in their entirety to be eligible to be considered to receive the scholarship. Careful consideration is given prior to awarding the Education Scholarship, with special emphasis placed on an individual’s commitment to the industry, general industry knowledge and overall character.

Please read the following carefully:
1. This scholarship is awarded to GDAA members whose company will not or cannot pay due to budget restrictions for the Credential program this application is being submitted. Any qualifying reimbursements from the employer will be submitted to the GDAA.
2. All applicants must hold a valid High School diploma, or the equivalent, and must be currently employed by Greater Dayton Apartment Association members.
3. The education program must be completed in the timeframe specified, usually within 12 months. Failure to complete the program will result in the candidate being required to reimburse the scholarship fund for the awarded scholarship amount.
4. Scholarship awards include the cost of the educational program (instructors, materials, etc.) only. Recipients will not be reimbursed for any lost wages because of class attendance.
5. Recipients must maintain the highest standards of professionalism including conduct, appearance, etc. while involved in any GDAA events or classes.
6. Recipients must be willing to speak publicly or write about the scholarship and how it has furthered their career.
7. Scholarship awardees must fulfill volunteer requirements. For every $100 awarded, 1 hour of volunteerism at GDAA is required. Awardees may:
- Join a committee= 1 hour per meeting.
- Be a mentor for the Credential they received or a new primary member = 1 hour per meeting.
- Bring in a new member =2 hours of volunteer requirement.
Awardees must fulfill volunteer requirement within 1 year of receiving the scholarship and may retroactively use any authorized volunteerism up to 6 months before submission.
