Shire Electric is seeking a motivated individual to join our team, grow with the company, and embark on an exciting journey in the electrical industry.
Position: Licensed Journeyman
Hours: Part-time, 25-30 hours/week
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM
Starting Pay: $35-$45/hour based on experience
Job Description:
-Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
-Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
-Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs.
-Plan and complete electrical projects within specified timelines and budgets.
-Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
-Provide guidance and training to apprentices and other junior electricians.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
-Valid journeyman electrician license in Massachusetts.
-Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
-Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
-Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and technical drawings.
-Demonstrated experience in electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
-Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
-Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
-Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and climbing.
