· Volunteering is a mutual arrangement and as such any agreement to undertake activities on behalf of the North Queensland Sports Foundation (NQSF) as the North Queensland Games (NQG) is done so only with the consent of the volunteer. Either party may terminate the arrangement at any time by notification in writing to the other party.
· No payment will be made for any volunteer activity undertaken. The undertaking of volunteer activity does not create any right or expectation of future paid work.
· An NQ Games Officer will be appointed to supervise the activities of volunteers and you are expected to undertake all reasonable requests and directions given to perform tasks and activities.
· If you are unable to undertake or complete any assigned task or activity, or where you are unsure of how tasks are to be performed, you are to seek clarification from your NQ Games Officer.
· Where your activities are part of a roster you should notify your NQ Games Officer if you are unable to make your allocated shift as soon as possible by calling 0455 870 006.
· The NQ Games promotes respect, safety, and tolerance for all. You are expected to be courteous at all times to athletes, staff, the public and other volunteers.
· You will be advised of appropriate dress requirements for the tasks you will undertake and be expected to dress appropriately. A NQ Games volunteer crew shirt and lanyard must be worn to all volunteer shifts.
· Volunteers are asked to bring a mobile phone to all volunteer shifts, to be contactable and to have the ability to call the NQ Games Officer if the need arises.
· You must follow reasonable direction given by the NQ Games Officer regarding safety practices and procedures, you are also expected to take reasonable responsibility for your own health and safety as well as the health and safety of others.
· Any property or equipment that is provided for use during your placement is only to be used to undertake tasks assigned to you and remains the property of the NQ Games.
· If you suffer any injury, you must notify your NQ Games Officer immediately.
· Volunteers are required to maintain confidentiality regarding information involving The NQSF and NQ Games volunteer program, paid staff, other volunteers, and games participants. Information must not be disclosed to anyone outside the organisation or to others within the organisation unless express permission is given to do so by an appropriate authority.

Your personal information has been collected for the purpose of assessing your application. The collection of your information is authorised under the Local Government Act 2009. You are providing personal information which will be used for the purpose of delivering services and carrying out business as volunteers for the NQSF at the 2024 NQG. Your personal information is handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and will be accessed by persons who have been authorised to do so by the NQSF and CRC. Your information will not be given to any other person or agency unless you have given the NQSF written permission to so or the disclosure is required by law.
