Volunteer Children's Worker

Rationale behind this application form...

We want those who volunteer in ministry roles that publicly represent CMIAID to be growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus and to be pursuing a life worthy of saying, “Follow me as I follow Christ.” The following questions are to help us discern this, as well as provide a safe environment for those who participate in the various ministries of CMIAID.

From a legal perspective it is also to enable the management of CMIAID meet the safeguarding requirements of the various countries where it is registered and to ensure that we do our due dilligence concerning these requirments.

Your answers to any of the following questions will not necessarily qualify/disqualify you for serving as a volunteer. However, we may choose to have you follow up with the leadership of CMIAID in private, to see whether any issues raised have a bearing on your suitability to represent CMIAID in volunteer ministry. This conversation would happen before serving in a volunteer role.

It is our goal at CMIAID to provide a safe and secure environment for those children and youth who participate in our programs and use our facilities. In order to ensure all leaders and helpers are informed towards this goal, we ask all of our workers to answer the following questions:

I understand and agree that it is critical to the mission and ministry of CMIAID that all volunteers conform to the highest standards of safety, interpersonal conduct, and sexual morality. I affirm that I will strictly comply with CMIAID'S policies and procedures, particularly those concerning child safety and protection, sexual abuse and misconduct, and improper interpersonal relationships. I understand and agree that failure at any time by me to abide by such policies and procedures may result in immediate dismissal from my volunteer position.

I understand and agree that any false answers or statements made by me on this form or any supplement thereto, or any false statements made to the representative(s) of CMIAID during the interview process will be sufficient grounds for not allowing me to serve or immediately discharging me, no matter when it is discovered.
