GCA Winter Formal Dress Code
GCA Outfit Advice
Because you will be active at this event with dancing and games, we advise you choose something you feel comfortable in while being active. We want you to be handsome /beautiful, as well as comfortable, while having a great time!
GUYS
This is a coat and tie event. A suit is not required, but at minimum a sport coat, nice pants, button up shirt, and tie are required. If you have any outfit specific questions, please contact Suzie Johnson at 469-438-4625 or suzie@ekk.org.

LADIES
Neckline must above cleavage. A panel may need to be added to sweetheart, V-neck and scoop necks to meet dress code. No cut outs, sides of body or midriff showing. The back of the dress should be no lower than your natural waistline (above the bottom edges of your ribcage)

Formal jumpsuit/pants suit
Short dresses must be within the short side of a 3x5 index card of the top of the knee
Slits in long gowns no higher than the short side of a 3x5 index card of the top of the knee
Strapless gowns or off the shoulder gowns must be high enough to cover cleavage or be altered to cover cleavage. (it is your responsibility to ensure your gown stays in place throughout the evening)
Please wear appropriate undergarments. Undergarment straps cannot be showing on bare skin uncovered by your dress and should blend in under see through fabrics/lace.
Dress back no lower than natural waistline (above the bottom edges of your ribcage)
Midriff covered by non-see-through fabric in front and sides (no cutouts)
Two piece dresses may be worn if the top covers the skirt by at least 6 inches - if the top and skirt simply "meet in the middle" it does not meet dress code and must be sewn together
Dressy shoes, dressy sandals, dressy boots, or nice, clean, comfortable shoes to wear while dancing

Any cutouts in the front or sides of the dress
The back of the dress should be no lower than your natural waistline (above the bottom edges of your ribcage)
You must be fully covered from about your underarm to within the short side of a 3x5 index card of the top of the knee (see-through fabric is not acceptable)

Your dress selection will need to be submitted for approval at least one week prior to the event. Full length front and back views of the dress selection on your student will need to be texted or emailed to Suzie Johnson at #469-438-4625 or suzie@ekk.org with your student’s name and grade level. You will receive a response as quickly as the committee can review your submission. If you are shopping and have questions while selecting a dress, Suzie has offered to be available for advising.
