  • Venue Expression of Interest Form

    Thank you for expressing interest in making your venue available for the presentation of performances during the 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival (26 March – 20 April 2025).

    The information requested below will help us to evaluate the suitability of your venue for shows that we know are seeking a home. We will ask artists and producers who could be a good fit to contact you directly. Enquiries usually start in late September/early October.

    Please fill in ALL fields, and don’t miss the accessibility and licensing questions so that we have all necessary information for your venue. There are 3 pages (Venue Info, Access, Venue Finder - Optional) and the form should only that 10-25 minutes to complete.

    All Shows and Venues must comply with the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Ticketing Code of Practice, and LPA Workplace Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Bullying Code. A copy of these codes can be accessed on the Live Performance Australia website. You must have a hire agreement in place with all shows registered at your venue so all parties are aware of their responsibilities. If you have any concerns or would like to seek advice please reach out to registration@comedyfestival.com.au.

  • PLEASE NOTE: Any arrangement between an independent venue and an artist or producer is specific to those parties and independent of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The parties should ensure that all expectations regarding obligations on either side are covered in a written agreement to avoid any misunderstanding. It is the responsibility of the artist or producer to register the event with the Festival, and contact the venue to confirm details prior to the completion of registration
