Pre-Application

Information for Catch UP Program -  This program opens for one day a month for applications. On the 15th of each month the Catch UP Program will open for 24 hours ONLY. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received.  There is no guarantee of approval of funding

1. Residential rental assistance for ONE month in back rent only. 
2. Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry County residents only. 
3. Must have at least one child under 18 living in the household.
4. Must be employed or have a stable income that can sustain rent at the time of application. 
5. Will be required to complete 3 FDIC Money Smart Lessons and Homework before being approved for funding. 
6. The client must provide the landlord's name, address, and phone number.
7. Funding must be the FINAL amount to be provided to resolve the situation. 
8. All funding goes directly to the landlord to resolve the issue. 
9. Applications are processed in the order required materials are turned in.
10. *Does not cover hotel/boarding room rentals* 

Information about Wheels UP Program - This program opens on the 1st of each month for applications. When funding has been depleted, the program will close. There is no guarantee of approval of funding

1. Funding assistance to help cover the costs associated with permanent transportation.
2. Cumberland, Perry, and Dauphin County residents only. 
3. Have a Pennsylvania DL at the time of application if looking to purchase a vechicle. 
4. Must have at least one child under 18 living in the household.
5. Must be employed or have a stable income that can sustain transportation. 
6. Will be required to complete 2 FDIC Money Smart Lessons and Homework before being approved for funding.
7. Funding must be the FINAL amount to be provided to resolve the matter.
8. Applications are processed in the order required materials are turned in. 
9. A case manager referral is required.

If approved and funding is provided the client will need to provide at time of check pickup: Your PA DL and current car insurance for the intended vechicle 

Information about Grow UP Program 

The Family Promise HCR Grow UP Program helps bridge the financial gap between Child Care Works (CCW) subsidies and childcare center costs. It also assists families in paying off back balances, ensuring continued access to quality childcare for working parents.

Client must provide CCW approval letter

Must have employment or verification of start date of employment 

Client must find own childcare provider if not already started

Client is responsible for for the CCW co-payment 

3 month step down process (can go longer but on case by case basis) 
Month 1 - 100% funding provided 
Month 2 - 50% funding provided
Month 3 - 25% funding provided 

If the client stops paying for their portion of the childcare during any time in the 3 months, Grow-UP payments will stop as well. 
 

What funding will cover:

Gap in registration costs
Gap in childcare tuition costs
Back pay up to $600

Funding will NOT cover:

Summer camp activity costs (unless in a verified homeless situation)
