  • Sausages

    Plains Butchery's recommendation for the right amount of sausages to receive is 10% of your animals carcass weight made into sausages (example - 300kg beast 30kg of sausages). This is a good balance of lean trim going into mince and the fattier trim going into your sausages. If you would like more sausages you can, you will just receive less mince. If you want less sausages it means you end up with more mince with a slightly higher fat content. COST -Plains Butchery contributes towards the 1st 10kg of sausages made, the customer pays the rest at $6.50kg for plain beef sausages, other flavours are charged accordingly. The 10kg inclusion is not included in 1/4s. Note ** A pack of 6 sausages weighs approximately 500g**

  • DELIVERY OPTION -We now offer a delivery service back to the farm where the beast was killed at (unless discussed prior). Deliveries are usually planned for a Monday (when the meat is ready). If you are going to collect from the Butchery we ask this is to be done in a timely manner due to our freezer capacity.*

    I declare that I am the owner of the animal described above and have been actively involved in the day to day maintenance of the animal including providing for the physical; and behavioural needs of the animal for at least 28 days. In the case of a recreational catch, I declare that this product is for use or consumption by me, my family or household members of the catcher's party.
