77th Tabor Czech Days -- Kiddie Parade Online Registration
Ruth Melichar, Kiddie Parade Chairman, organizes the Kiddie Parade each year for Czech Days. The Kiddie Parade is held on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at 10:30 AM in Tabor, SD one block east of St. Wenceslaus Church on Vyborny Street. There are 5 Divisions for entering your child(ren) in the parade: Dolls, Bicycles, Pets, Farm & Ranch, and Miscellaneous. There is no entry fee and children up to the age of 12 are welcome to participate. PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE OF THE PARADE. KIDDIE PARADE STARTS AT 10:30 AM!
Parade Day Instructions:
Participates should assemble at the beginning of the parade route (corner of Vyborny & Yankton streets) by 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 for assignment of category and number. Kiddie Parade starts at 10:30 AM. If you arrive late, you can still be in the parade, but you will not be judged.
Selection of Czech Days Prince and Princess
Any boy or girl interested in being selected as Czech Days Prince or Princess must be between the ages of 8 years old and not yet 12 years old at the time of selection. The Prince and Princess will be selected by drawing names at random at the Sokol Park stage following the Kiddie Parade and entrants MUST BE DRESSED in a Czech costume such as the Beseda Dancers wear. Participating in the Kiddie Parade is encouraged but not mandatory. The children should be living in the immediate Tabor, SD area as there are parades and other events that they WILL be expected to participate in.
