Community Centre Policy
1. Rental agreements and member requests for the use of the centre should, if possible, be made two (2) weeks prior to the time needed.
2. Only the person authorized may pick up and return the keys. Arrangements for pick up and return of the keys will be made after the use of the Community Centre has been approved.
3. All memebers using Community Centre are responsible for the actions of their guests while on Co-op property.
4. Those holding an event in the Community Centre should have considerations for the people living close to the Community Centre, especially where noise level may be of concern.
5. A request by a member to reduce excessive noise should be met politely and immediately.
6. Members are responsible to ensure all guests park in vistor parking and not to use members parking.
7. A member 18+ must be in attendance at all times.
8. Alcohol may not be consumed by anyone under the legal drinking age.
9. The selling of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.
10. As per government regulations, smoking is not permitted inside the common areas of the co-op, including the Community Centre.
11. All persons using the centre must provide their own consumables and supplies unless prior arrangements are made at the time of the rental.
12. One (1) garbage bag will be provided by the co-op and all garbage and recycling is to be removed and put in the appropriate bins.
13. Only masking tape and green painters tape are permitted for hanging decorations and must not be hanged off of any fire safety equipment.
14. All areas of the Community Centre (including washrooms) must be left clean and tidy. All surfaces must be free of debris and the floor swept and if needed washed.
15. Chairs must be stacked against the wall and tables returned to their original positiions.
16. The authorized member must ensure that all the lights are turned off, all appliances are turned off, fire doors are closed and all doors are securely locked.
17. An inspection of the Community Centre will be carried out by co-op satff or delegated member, prior to the rental and also after the rental period.
18. Signing the rental agreement implies agreement of the above conditions.
