The Ontario Public Interest Research Group Carleton (OPIRG Carleton) is a studentrun, student funded non-profit organization committed to social, environmentaland economic justice.
OPIRG Carleton provides students and community members with space to organize, skills training, a resource library, placementopportunities and access to multimedia equipment. OPIRG has been involved in diverse issues and campaigns since it began in 1980. Community memberships are available on an annual basis according to the fiscal year which runs September 1st- August 31st.
Memberships need to be renewed each year. Only members are able to vote at the Annual General Meeting. Community memberships are available on a sliding scale, with a required minimum payment of $7.00/year. Members able and wanting to pay more for their membership areinvited to do so. Individuals unable to pay the fee are encouraged to contact the board and request a fee reduction.
In order to vote in the Special General Meeting, memberships must be received by June 19th, 5pm.
