  • Poughkeepsie's YouthBuild AmeriCorps offers an all-inclusive pre-apprenticeship training program aimed at individuals aged 16-24. The program emphasizes holistic personal and professional growth and is specially designed for residents in the Poughkeepsie area who have discontinued traditional schooling.

YouthBuild AmeriCorps in Poughkeepsie is committed to delivering high school equivalency, construction, and more to 30 underrepresented local youths aged between 16-24. Fifty of these participants will be enrolled in the construction trades training, working towards OSHA 30 and NCCER construction certifications. The end of goal of this program is to excell our students towards a career or higher education.
