CALL FOR MANITOU SPRINGS ELECTRIC SHUTTLE ARTWORK

Sunday, August 6, 2023 by 11:59 pm. Artists will be notified by August 11 of selection status.

Artwork will be chosen by a 7-member jury panel consisting of members of CRANE’s Public Art Committee and one City employee. Artwork should provide instantly recognizable color and texture that adapts well to a vinyl wrap design for the City’s selected vehicles. Additional consideration will be given to designs that in some way reference the natural environment surrounding Manitou Springs.

1. ) Instantly recognizable color/texture for a general audience of all ages. 2.) Relevancy to the Manitou Springs community or environment in which it will be placed 3.)Suitability of the work of art to the vehicle, including content, scale and materials 4.)Artwork referencing the Manitou Springs environment or themes of sustainability will receive additional consideration

1.) 1-3 High resolution images or ability to provide high resolution scans upon licensing award 2.) Specifications: What kind of tools or art media did you use to create the artwork? 1.) This project is open to artists who live or work in Manitou Springs, Colorado. 2.) Rules & Terms: Selection Panel - Artwork will be chosen by a jury panel consisting of members of CRANE’s Public Art Committee. The jury seeks to include a diverse range of media and perspectives. The Panel and CRANE reserve the right to reject any or all applications, proposals, applicants, or projects, and to modify or terminate the application process or the selection process for any reason and without prior notice. Submission of entry constitutes agreement of conditions set forth. A licensing contract for artwork will be executed after an Intent to award and/or a Notification of Award has been made.
