  • Thank you for volunteering to help DAWGS
We are a self-funding charity and receive no grants or subsidies. Volunteers are essential to the success of our charity and we rely on their help every day.

  • There are lots of ways to help DAWGS. Volunteering activities include:

    • Dog Fostering
Care for a dog in need on a temporary basis.
    • Homechecks
Visit prospective new owners in their home to assess their suitability for the dog they have expressed an interest in.
    • Attend Shows
Man our stand at events, let visitors know about our charity, sell merchandise, etc. These are frequently at weekends.
    • Home Baking
Show off your baking skills by donating your goodies for us to sell at events.
    • Jumble Sales / Coffee Mornings
Help to sell goods or serve coffee/tea, etc. These are normally held at weekends.
    • Van Driver
You must be over 25 with a clean driving licence.
    • Charity Shop (Alford)
Help out at our charity shop in Alford. Activities include organising donations and serving customers.
    • Charity Shop (Aberdeen)
Help out when we have the council charity shop in Aberdeen. This happens once a year for one week.
