Important Information for You
Food:
- This event is not catered — please ensure children come with plenty of snacks and a packed lunch.
- Please notify me of any food allergies in advance.
- All participants should bring a refillable water bottle (water is available on-site for refills).
For Riding & Working Around Horses:
- Closed-toe footwear is required.
- Low-heeled boots are ideal. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about appropriate footwear.
- Long pants (e.g., comfortable jeans) are required for riding and horse-related activities.
- ASTM/SEI Certified helmets will be provided for all participants when working around or riding horses.
For Non-Riding Activities:
- Please send clothing suitable for changing weather and non-riding activities (e.g., shorts, light shoes, rain gear if needed, and for hot days, prepare for waterballoon fun!).
- Sunhat
- Refillable water bottle (labelled with your child’s name)
- Bug spray
- Sunscreen on prior to camp
- Waivers & Forms:
A digital preview of the Acknowledgement of Risk and Release of Liability form will be sent prior to camp. A printed copy will be provided for a parent/guardian signature on the first day.
Weather:
- In the case of extreme weather (heat, thunderstorms, or heavy rain), we’ll adapt as needed with shelter and alternative activities to keep both children and horses safe and comfortable.
- If air quality becomes hazardous due to wildfire smoke, we will contact you to discuss the possibility of postponing camp to a mutually agreeable date.
