As stated on the website, the Catch Up Progam is open on the 15th of each month for 48 hours only. If you apply before or after this time frame, your pre-application will be denied.
We are excited about potentially partnering with you on your journey toward sustainability through our Catch Up program. This program is designed to help teach financial literacy and responsibility while providing guidance, and ultimately helping to cover the costs associated with permanent or long-term transitional housing.
Program Eligibility:
1. A referral source outside of Family Promise HCR is required.
2. Be considered low income (30% of median family income).
3. Must reside in Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry County.
4. Individuals may apply, but priority will be for families with at least one child under the age of 18 that lives with you at least 50/50.
5. Lease and/or eviction notice is required.
Application Process:
1. Meet with FPHCR staff member in person or via Zoom. A budget will be completed at this meeting.
2. Landlord must complete agreement.
3. Completion of the mandatory FDIC and Keys to Good Tenancy lessons and homework.
4. Proof of income.
Program Terms:
1. Financial assistance for one month behind in past due rent up to $2,000.
2. Funding MUST be used for costs associated with permanent or long-term transitional housing. *Funds will not be approved for future rental assistance*
3. FPHCR payment will be made directly to vendor.
