    • Absentee Bidding Instructions

Thank you for your interest in bidding with Case Auctions. Placing absentee bids with our direct bidding platform couldn't be easier and offers many advantages including:

      1. Puts you in total control of your bidding and allows you to submit absentee bids up until the auction begins.
      2. Allows you to monitor your total bidding activity to ensure you are not exceeding any potential bid limits.
      3. Alerts you if your bid has been exceeded so that you can consider placing a higher bid.

Placing absentee bids is a simple two step process as described below.

STEP 1 - REGISTERING FOR AN AUCTION: Before you are allowed to submit absentee bids, you MUST first register for one of our auctions and be approved to bid. To register for an upcoming auction, please select an upcoming auction from our website or visit the following web page: https://auction.caseantiques.com

When on this web page, click on the "Register Now" button as highlighted in the figure below.

Once you have registered for an auction, you will receive an email with the subject heading "Auction registration request in process." Our team will then review your account and notify you via email once you are approved for bidding.

STEP 2 - SUBMITTING AN ABSENTEE BID: If your auction registration has been approved, you will receive an email with the subject heading "Your auction registration is approved." Additionally, the "Register Now" button on our upcoming auctions page will now appear with a "Start Bidding" label as shown in the highlighted figure below.

To submit an absentee bid, simply click the "Start Bidding" button. This will take you to the auction's catalog where you can browse lots and leave bids in advance of the auction (i.e., absentee or safety bids) as follows:

      1. Enter the maximum you are willing to bid on the lot.
      2. Click the "Place Bid" button.
      3. Click the "Confirm" button when prompted to lock in your bid.

See the figure below for example.

Please Note: Confirmed bids cannot be withdrawn, so please be sure of your absentee bid before clicking the "Confirm" button.

      Reviewing and Managing Your Bids

    • Phone Bidding Instructions

Please enter the following information to submit phone bids. One of our phone operators will contact you at the phone number provided a few minutes before your lot comes on the block. Please be prepared to bid quickly and decisively once the bidding begins.

    • Type in all lot numbers, a brief description, and a safety bid (optional). A safety bid is a maximum amount you would be willing to bid that we would execute on your behalf in the event that we cannot get you on the phone or if there is a phone disconnection during bidding. IMPORTANT: When entering a safety bid, please enter the maximum amount you would want to bid (excludes the buyers premium). Ensure this bid matches an appropriate bid increment (click here to view our bid increment schedule). If you provide incorrect bid amounts, we will ROUND DOWN to the next valid bid increment.
