First Name Last Name is applying to become a participant in the 2025-26 NACS Leadership Institute. This program, presented in partnership with the NACS Foundation, is designed to go beyond typical skills training programs. It will address key factors that enable proficiency in collegiate retail and will also push participants to expand and advance their ideas through simulation exercises, group collaborations, team activities, and guidance from facilitators. As they complete the program, participants will be tasked with developing pathways to adapt and apply new ideas and knowledge for the benefit of their store and institution.

A supervisor’s support is a necessary part of a candidate’s application. Successful completion of the Institute requires a commitment of time as well as active participation in all assignments and activities. The estimated time commitment for the virtual learning and group meeting portions of the program is 2-4 hours each month, for approximately three months prior to the in-person event. This includes time to complete assignments, periodic virtual meetings with the facilitators, and occasional check-ins with you and other designated program mentors. Following the virtual portion, additional time will be directed to preparing a final presentation. The Institute culminates with a 5 day in-person event in June 2026.

There is no fee associated with applying or being accepted to this exemplary program, and a $500 stipend will be provided to participants to cover their airfare to the location of the culminating event. The participant, or your store if you allow, will be responsible for airfare above $500.

If accepted First Name Last Name will need your support to establish uninterrupted times to prepare for assignments, provide access to a computer and web camera for participation in virtual learning and meeting sessions, as well as time away from work to participate in the final in-person event.
