• VIRTUAL SHOW GUIDELINES

     Video Capture

    • Video must be horizontal, taken from a judge's perspective at C.
    • If the walls of the arena prevent the entire horse from fitting in the frame near C, at least capture the horse's feet.
    • Horse and rider must be in focus and unobstructed by dust.
    • After the final halt, state the name of the rider, test ridden, and date.
    • The video must be recorded after the opening and before the closing dates of the show.

    Rider Attire

    • Helmets must be worn.
    • Neat attire is acceptable, show clothing is not required.

    Tack and Equipment

    • USEF/USDF/WDAA/USEA/FEI rules are to be followed where applicable. It is the responsibility of the competitor to know the rules for their level and organization.
    • Horse cannot wear wraps, boots, or other leg protection.

    Arena

    • Intro and Training level tests can be ridden in a small arena (20 x 40 meters) or standard arena (20 x 60 meters The 8 necessary dressage letters must be measured accurately and marked with letters, cones, or other markers that are visible in the video.
    • First Level and above tests must be ridden in a standard arena (20 x 60 meters The 12 necessary dressage letters must be measured accurately and marked with letters, cones, or other markers that are visible in the video.
    • Arenas must be fairly level. Unfenced or grass arenas are acceptable if the arena boundaries are shown with the placement of the letters, cones, or other markers.

    Riding the Test

    • No coaching is allowed during tests.
    • A rider may have a reader.
    • A total of three tests only can be ridden per horse, per show, even if there are multiple riders.

    Entry

    • Please do not play music or mute the audio in the video, normal background sounds only.
    • At the discretion of the judge, a competitor can be eliminated if the appropriate rules are not followed or if the quality of the video is too poor to judge.
    • Upload the video to YouTube and copy the link to your entry.
    • The same video cannot be submitted to more than one TREA Virtual Show.
    • All entries are non-refundable after the closing date.
    • Late entries are accepted within three days of the closing date for an additional fee.
    • Shows may be extended, at the show secretary's discretion.

  • Each horse/rider pair must have a separate entry form. Entries will not be added to the program until all fees are paid in full. Please include separate links for each class

    Ribbons and tests will be available for pickup at Coventry Equestrian Center. There is a $10 fee for mailing.
