PARENT PARTICIPATION

Together we can build a wonderful environment for our children!
We have many exciting community-building events and fundraisers planned for this coming school year− the details of which will be available at Welcome Night on September 10th and parents will receive sign-up forms prior to each event.
We request that each family participates in all or at least most of our events. Guest speakers and Teacher-led workshops are also part of our offerings each year and we encourage parents to join us for those educational experiences as they are able. There are however three (3) initiatives that we require 100% participation from each family:

The Annual Giving Campaign

Your participation is critically important because the school depends on this income to make up the shortfall of expenses that tuition does not cover. As a not-for-profit and private school, Blue Rock is not generally eligible for state funding. Even a modest contribution from every family makes a difference.

Giving Referral

In an on-going effort to expand the donor base of our Annual Giving Campaign, we are asking for a referral of a relative, grandparent or community friend. The AGC is one of the many fundraising initiatives that BRS employs to raise the additional income needed to operate the school, offer our multidisciplinary programming and meet our expenses. Your referrals will only be contacted once or twice a year and they would have the option of being kept informed of school initiatives, and be invited to special school events.

Annual BRS Fundraising Event

Each year, parents and staff plan an exciting fundraising event that is open to the larger community. Please plan to buy or sell two (2) event tickets. We also hope that each family can sell one (1) ad in the program to a local business. Given the large scope of this endeavor we ask that every family volunteer at this event.

All families are part of our BRS community and your participation is essential to the growth and well-being of the school. Meeting our fundraising goals helps us to keep our tuition one of the lowest for private schools in the area, while offering a unique, dynamic and creative program.

We value your involvement in school projects/events and it is also a great way to meet other families!
