Price Per Adventure:

$40- $55.00 per adventure for Rookies until, probationary period is completed. At any point in your dogs membership that they need to have some extra support we may bring them back into a “Rookie,” status.

To graduate from Rookie we need your dog to perform these skills:

-Van loading / Unloading

-Pack Walking

-Group Sit / Stays

-Reliable Recall

Veteran price per adventure is $40-$50.00, once a rookie graduates into a Veteran status and have a committed schedule the fee can go down with your dogs skillset.

You can choose to keep your dog in a Rookie membership, this fee will remain at $50 an adventure but gives you the flexibility if you a someone who cannot commit to a schedule or travel a lot.

Reminder: at any time if your dog is requiring extra handling or attention. I will address the issue with the owner. If the issue does not rectify, quickly with at home training. We will bring that particular dog back to rookie status, this way we can support the dog further.
Policies to remember from out initial paperwork:

24 hour cancellation is needed. Within the 24 hour period full payment is due.
If your dog has been exposed to any canine to canine illness I need immediate notification.If there is a sneeze, cough, diarrhea this pup needs to stay home. If notification is not rendered in a timely manner we may need to shut down and be subject to cover for the cost of shut down. Cost of shut down includes: van disinfection fee, and number of days we are shut down for.
If your dog(s) go to boarding, doggie daycare, or other care accommodations this is VITAL to keep our pack dogs healthy. Please keep on top of communication from your other providers. Communication is vital. I can not stress this enough.

Temperature Closings:

It is very difficult to play Weatherman, even Gary (WCAX) gets it wrong often.
Any question on weather please post in the Jo-ventures, with inquiry.
If there is questionable weather in the morning. I will “delay,” pick up and then update as soon as possible.
If cancellation occurs due to weather safety. We will credit for the next adventure.

Extra Handling Fee:

If dogs are not dressed, pottied and or prepared for pack an $20 handling fee will be applied.
This handling fee is especially essential for e-collared trained dogs. Your collar needs to be fully charged and “on” your dog.
Seasons Orange needs to be on October 1st - Hunting Season. (I will place booties on dogs when possible.)

Vacation Policy:

In order to maintain the pack, when vacation occurs we will now have a $20 fee instead of the full pack fee of $45 ($50 for Green Rookies until release from probation)
This policy is for planned vacation (client and for Jo), holidays, etc. If your pack day falls on a Federal holiday Jo has the right to close and apply the Vacation Policy.
This policy is effective immediately, without question when a dog does not come out to pack and misses their pack days we have to restart their training / or they have been delayed. Which changes the dynamic of the pack and can be very disruptive.
This is not in effect for long term leaves. Such a maternity leave, however Vacation policy can be used if Jo sustains an injury and is not physically able to hike.

Drop off policy:

Due to the rising price of gas, drop offs May be determined by location of your house. Meaning that if we pick up your dog first, we also may drop your dog off last. This is to ensure that we're using as least amount of gas as possible.

Also in to gas and efficiency of time. Third party drop offs are at my discretion. Third-party drop off can often get to be a little sloppy. With the respect of time, and my schedule. I may not always be able to help or assist with this.

Please remember, that Apex is a training based program, and that often days after pack I do train private clients.
APEX Vt Dog Training Liability Waiver

I understand that there are a variety of risks to me and my dog(s) from attending and receiving APEX VT Dog Training services. These risks include, but are not limited to: getting hit by a car, bitten by a dog, fleeing from handler, tripping and falling, spraining ankles being exposed to canine flu and or kennel cough, breaking bones or other physical injury and any other health risks by possibly being in a canine environment or natural environmental risks. Understanding these risks, I voluntarily and knowingly waive any right I (and others on my behalf) might otherwise have to make any claim against any member or officer of APEX VT Dog Training and/or any other person or entity connected with APEX VT Dog Training(including, but not limited to, the owner or lessee of any property used by APEX VT Dog Training, for any and all injuries or damage related to any APEX VT Dog Training events, services.
With my signature I will also abide by any rules, regulations and policies that are set by the APEX VT Dog Training. This includes proper dog etiquette during all events held by this business. Proper dog etiquette will be reviewed again annually. A separate form will be provided, outlining proper dog etiquette. If the APEX VT Dog Training owners determine a member’s dog is unable to follow proper dog etiquette, the dog in question will no longer be allowed to participate in APEX VT Dog Training services.
I WILL NOT hold any trainer / walker / or owner of APEX VT Dog Training liable for any and or all injuries /damage that can occur during training or other services to property of my pets. I understand that it is my responsibility to have my dog’s collar or equipment securely fitted so they will not slip out of the collar but also allow my dog to be handled with a slip lead at trainer / walkers judgement. All safety must be in favor of the trainer / walker, if they feel it is unsafe they will still be PAID for the service and have a document explaining the situation at hand.

It is solely my responsibility to have control of my own dog (s), respect and help support other handlers, and communicate about my dog (s) needs.

I authorize APEX VT Dog Training to contact my veterinarian for any or all medical information needed to care for my animals.
