We look forward to sharing the Bias Inside Us exhibit with you and your group. This community engagement project from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) raises awareness about the social science and psychology of implicit bias, the impact of this bias, and what people can do about it.
During your evening at the MESS Hall, you will explore The Bias Inside Us traveling exhibition. Through compelling images, hands-on interactives and powerful testimonials and videos, the exhibition unpacks and demystifies the concept of bias. The exhibition features six sections: Introduction, The Science of Bias, Bias in Real Life, Serious Consequences—Bias is All Around Us, #RetrainYourBrain and Personal Reflection.
The exhibition has many reflection prompts, and we hope that you will spend time discussing your experience of the exhibit with your friends and colleagues during your visit. Light refreshments will be provided.
