    BIKE AND SCOOTER REGISTRATION

    WAIVER AND RELEASE
  • Rules and Regulations:

    1. Bicycles and scooters of any kind are not permitted in the Building for any reason and must be stored in the appropriate storage area.
    2. Charging of any electric mobility device is not allowed within the building or either Bicycle Storage Areas.
    3. Overnight storage of any type of bicycles, scooters and/or other personal property is not allowed in the storage areas.
    4. All bicycles and scooters must be stored secured to a rack with a lock.
    5. The indoor storage area shall be used only for the storage of traditional, non electric bicycles and for no other purpose.
    6. The outdoor storage area shall be used only for the storage of electric mobility devices, such as electric bicycles and electric scooters, and for no other purpose. 
    7. Motorcycles, mopeds, motor scooters or any other device that utilizes oil or gas are not permitted in the Bicycle Storage Areas and will be removed immediately.
    8. All devices must be registered with the building and have the given registration sticker placed in view. Failure to place the registration sticker on the bicycle may result in revocation of the right to use the storage areas.
    9. Failure to comply with these rules and regulations may result in revocation of the right to use the storage area.

     

    In consideration for the use of the storage areas (the “Bicycle Storage Areas”), the undersigned acknowledges to and agrees for the benefit of 601W Companies Chicago MT, LLC (the “Owner”) and its managing agent, Jones Lang LaSalle Americas (Illinois) LP (the “Agent”) as follows:

    1. The undersigned is an owner, employee, or agent for a company who leases office space at 433 W Van Buren St ("The Old Post Office"). 
    2. The undersigned may use the Bicycle Storage Areas only in accordance with the rules and regulations promulgated by Owner from time to time. It is the responsibility of the undersigned to read and understand the rules and regulations. By his/her signature below, the undersigned acknowledges that he/she has read and understands the provisions of this Waiver and Release.
    3. The operations and use of the Bicycle Storage Areas will be unsupervised by Owner or its agents or employees and User agrees that neither Owner nor any of the other Owner Parties listed in Paragraph 4 below will be responsible for any personal injury or loss of personal property. User leaves the bicycle or scooter at user’s own risk and the owner parties are not responsible for fire, theft, damage, or loss to the bicycle or scooter, or to any article left with the bicycle or scooter. This contract provides the right only to temporarily store such item and no bailment is created.
    4. All use of the Bicycle Storage Areas by the undersigned is at the sole risk of such party and no Owner Parties shall have any liability therefore. The undersigned hereby irrevocably and unconditionally releases Owner, Owner’s manager and each of their directors, partners, agents, employees and representatives (collectively, “Owner Par- ties”) from all claims, demands, causes of actions, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses caused by or incurred as a result of or arising indirectly or directly from the undersigned’s use of the Bicycle Storage Area.
    5. The undersigned shall indemnify, defend and hold Owner and the other Owner Parties harmless from any loss or liability incurred by them as a result of the undersigned’s acts or omissions within or about the Bicycle Storage Areas, including any loss or liability resulting from materials or property maintained or stored in the Bicycle Storage Areas.
  • Once your waiver and release has been submitted, you must pick up your designated sticker from the Building Management Office for access card activation. The registration sticker must be placed on the device that matches the provided description.

    Should you need to register another device you must submit an additional waiver and receive another sticker for that specific device.
