Nomination Rules & Disclaimer
We are excited to partner with non-profit organizations that share our commitment to serving the community. To ensure transparency and uphold the integrity of our mission, we require all nominated organizations to adhere to the following rules:
Non-profit Status: The organization must be a registered non-profit entity in good standing. Proof of non-profit status (501(c)(3) status or equivalent in the U.S., or similar credentials if based in other countries) will be required.
Mission Alignment: The organization’s mission and activities should align with our festival's values and be focused on providing genuine benefits to the community.
Local Impact: Preference will be given to non-profits that serve the local Pittsburg community or have a significant local impact.
Financial Transparency: The organization should have clear financial records demonstrating responsible management of funds. We may ask for evidence of this, such as recent audited financial statements.
Active Engagement: The nominated non-profit should have an active presence and ongoing projects or initiatives. Mere intentions or plans are not sufficient.
Disclaimer: The Pittsburg Seafood & Music Festival and the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce reserve the right to request additional information and to verify the details provided by nominated organizations. We also reserve the right to accept or reject nominations based on our evaluation criteria. The decision made by the festival committee will be final.
Nomination does not guarantee selection or partnership. We encourage all nominators to provide accurate and complete information to support their nomination.
