    • You are required to answer all questions on this form. Incomplete applications are ineligible for review
    • Late submissions will not be accepted
    • You're welcome to use bullet points/ point form, headers, etc. in your responses
    • We highly recommend that you draft your application in a separate document before filling out the online form.   • ELIGIBILITY SCREENER

  • *This grant is for artists and arts collectives aged 16-29. Those outside this age range are not eligible to apply

  • *This grant is for artists and arts collectives based in the City of Toronto. Those who are located outside Toronto are not eligible to apply.

  • *This grant is for emerging who have not received funding from an arts council or other substantial arts funding before. Those who have received funding for their arts practice before are not eligible to apply

  • *Grantees can receive a maximum of 2 Artist Creation Project grants. Because this grant is a continuation of CUE's artist grant, this means that grants issued by either ArtReach or CUE count towards this total. Those who have already received two CUE grants are not eligible to apply

  • *This grant is for the creation of artistic works over the course of four months (January to April). Projects that will take more than four months to complete are not eligible for this funding

  • *This grant is for the creation of new artistic works. Projects that have already been started, arts programming, workshops, events, and professional development are not eligible for this funding

  • *This grant is intended only for applicants who meet this mandate. Those who don't are not eligible for this funding

  • Q3. Project Plan: Tell us how you’ll bring your project to life. Using the table below, please list the timelines and activities needed to complete your project. Feel free to list timelines as months, weeks, a range of weeks, etc. Click the “add activity” button to add more rows, as needed.

    • A reminder that creation/ production should take ~4 months, and be completed between January and April
    • All activities should be related to the creation of a new artistic work. This grant is not intended for presentation/ exhibition

How will you spend the grant funds? Using the table below, please list a) all of your project expenses, b) their costs, and c) notes/ links/ breakdowns to share more about your expenses, how totals were calculated, etc. Be sure to research your costs and include as much detail as possible. 

    • A reminder that applicants can apply for up to $1,000, and that this grant must cover the entire project cost
    • Please confirm the eligibility of your project expenses in our Program Guidelines

  • SUPPORT MATERIAL

  • Work Samples
    Support material is a required part of your grant application. Please upload 3-10 (three to ten) samples of your strongest work relevant to the project you're proposing. These samples should reflect your experience in the art form of your proposed project, and align with the scale and scope of what you’re applying to create.

    Your samples may also include materials like sketches, drafts, treatments, mood boards, sources of inspiration, etc. to help us better understand the work you hope to create with this grant.

    Notes:

    • Be sure to clearly label your supplementary materials for easy reference 
    • When submitting support material, please use the following file formats:
