Clearing ancestral, generational, or past life issues can cause an intense emotional hangover. An emotional hangover is an emotional release following a clearing. It can present itself in various ways, for example:
- intense crying spouts for no reason
- extreme negative feelings like unworthiness, self-doubt, self-loathing, anxiety
- muscle aches, stomach upset
- feeling lost and overwhelmed
Please understand that this is a very normal part of the release. It means that emotions that were attached to an issue are on their way out of your system. They were laying suppressed for so long, and now that the root cause of those emotions has been removed, they are ready to leave as well. This can cause intense negative feelings. It is a similar concept to that of the Healing Crisis after a Reiki Treatment.
