Gruntz OP 2023, Old School SelectionsWhen we made the Gruntz line, we didn’t expect to find these terpenes! These phenos were chosen by our team for their blast to the past potential. Out of a large hunt, we found these to carry a select high that many people associate with pre-2000s cannabis. Haze, Skunk, diesel, and deep herbal notes come through, in very high potency combinations. Very quick finishing plants with harvest as early as 50-60 days, and very large yields. Careful, these are not for beginners when it comes to the smoke!

Fruit Candy Gas GruntzThe other end of the Gruntz lineage, these came from a very special mother whose terpenes compete with any exotics on the market. Extremely strong nose, gas with sweet candy heaven scents. These were among the most vigorous plants we tested, finishing quickly in 55-65 days of flower. Great purple hues come through on many phenos, with a strong high that will put you down in the couch. Indica dominant hybrids with high minor cannabinoid counts for a balanced indica stone.

Gruntz Golden LimeThis was the choice Gruntz selection from Jeremy, the man who hunted the Gruntz line and put his selections into production this year. She was much like the Golden Ticket we bred into our stock years ago, but with a gelato gas kick that comes through in late flower. Top terps of the year, this one has potential to top 5-6% on terps and will easily produce 30-40% total cannabinoids, with very high THC. More of a 50/50 hybrid than the other Gruntz offerings, this was the largest yielder of the group. Very limited supply, only 400 total seeds available. Thick, dense buds. She took a little longer to finish but we chalk that up to the massive yield she produced, we recommend 65-75 days flower time on her.

Soapy Citrus Fruit ChemThese seeds come from a selection focused on mold resistance and vigor. The soapy chemical smells were a pleasant surprise and totally unique. There is a strong fruit nose that matures into a strong chemical scent in late flower, coupled with a creamy soapiness. The addition of citrus terpenes made this one uplifting and focused, and we can’t stress enough how these plants didn’t have a spot of mold, in a field that was not treated with any fungicides. The terpenes are super strong and we believe the high beta caryophyllene and limonene are the reason why she’s able to fight off all molds. Finishes flower in 65-70 days, with great yields.

Holy Shit!Another exotic from the Zion Train Grex pheno hunt. These stank, with more skunk and gas than anything else coming through. High potency breeding stock with incredible vigor, we named this cross for the exclamation made by our cooperative members as they smelled the flower, for the first time post cure. They really are, holy shit! The play on words is also a reference to the uplifting, spiritual high they carry. We’re proud of this quick finishing, sativa dominant cultivar, that brings it all to the table. Very limited supply, get them while before they are gone. 60-70 day flowering time. Mulanje ZombieWe didn’t expect to find this stanky OG pheno in our Mulanje hybrid hunt, but we are sure glad we did. Mulanje Gold has been a staple in our breeding stock for many years, providing a vigor unmatched by our competition, coupled with unique sativa highs that many have never experienced or even heard of. This Mulanje has the thin leafed, classic sativa structure and yield, but with a quick finish, and terpenes that were exactly like our old clone, Zombie Virus OG. Super citrus pine with a dead rotting flesh stank that almost smells like your grandpas old cologne they put on him one last time, at his viewing, post mortem…this one really reeked. Kona TangeloOver all the years of breeding our Kona Gold hybrids, we have never seen such terpenes. This mother had something special, usually its all lime and grape on the Kona but this one we found orange, tangelo, grapefruit, coupled with a slightly sweet lemon drop subtlety that came through in cure. This is a good example of why we consider Kona to be landrace breeding stock, as she is a fast finishing, squat, thin leafed sativa. Done in 50-60 days, caked in frost and ready for a washing, this girl stood out among the Kona hybrids we hunted, and we’re thankful to offer her in solidarity with the Hawaiian people, who preserved her for so long, for us all to enjoy.
