Please note that our application process is competitive. Along with position-specific skills, our recruiting team is looking for applicants who:
- Will commit to their position with Lightbulb for at least 4 months
- Display professionalism, poise and punctuality, and can meet deadlines on time
- Are able to problem-solve and think on their feet, and who see the value in creative solution
- Are committed to making a difference in their communities
We are entirely high school run, but we do offer benefits to our volunteers:
- A stipend (allotted based on role + performance)
A chance to build robust workplace skills in high school, including professional communication and project development
- Recommendations/Internship Guidance: resources, from email lists to one-on-one virtual advisory, to help you land your summer internship of choice
- Past employees have interned with StateFarm, IBM, and the U.S. Congress, among others
- Funding for Personal Projects: access to funding for education-related personal projects/societies/initiatives (see DeepShift Labs)
- Access to Lightbulb Tutoring's network: from business professionals to Ivy League alumni, leverage our network to land jobs and meet people who will help you succeed
