Filling out an application is only the first step in adopting a horse. Once your completed application is submitted, it is processed by our staff to determine if you meet our requirements. We will contact you with our decision and if you have been approved, we will put you in contact with a trainer who will work on the next step with you, which is meeting the horses.

There is a $25 non refundable application fee.

Comfortable riding at a walk unassisted. May also be able to ride a trot or canter on a lunge line.Beginner Novice: Gaining confidence around horses and working with a trainer. Able to groom and tack up with very little help. Comfortable handing horses on the ground independently and is comfortable riding at a walk and posting trot without assistance with a well broke horse.Novice: Confident with handling horses on the ground. Ability to handle and school green horses on their own. Can perform more advanced riding maneuvers and has a good understanding of proper equine care and management.Professional: Paid to care for horses, train, ride, or give lessons. Able to handle and train feral, unstarted, and "problem" horses. Knows all the ins and outs of proper equine care and management and has experience caring for horses with medical issues or injuries.
