Toi MAHARA Shop Space: Expressions of Interest

Toi MAHARA now has a refreshed retail space, selling a diverse range of work by Kāpiti Coast and Aotearoa New Zealand-wide artists.

• There will be limited amount of space available, with the majority being suitable for
three-dimensional work, books and jewellery.
• There is no hanging space in our retail area for two-dimensional artworks, with limited space for unframed originals in a ‘poster box’ set up.
• The retail area will be viewed through the external windows, so any items displayed
will be viewed from at least two sides.

Toi MAHARA works on a consignment basis; the items remain property of the artist
until they are sold. Items will be held in retail for approximately 12 weeks, after which gallery staff will arrange for items to be collected by the artist or returned by courier at the artist’s expense.
Due to limited retail space and storage, Toi MAHARA is unable to store items beyond
the designated retail time allocated.

• If accepted, we will be in touch by e-mail
• If not accepted in this round, we will retain your submission for future consideration, as we will change the retail offering on a regular basis
• Once accepted, we will send you a form to sign, confirming T&Cs, with more details around payments and delivery/pick up of your work.

Please attach information on the proposed works you want to supply for the retail
area of the gallery, including photographs of the works (individual or group). Include a brief description and number of items of each type available, and price range.

Please include your name in the title of the images.
