Join Sumac Environmental Consultanting and Magnetawan Watershed Land Trust to monitor Eastern Whip-poor-wills. This information will help Magnetawan Watershed Land Trust manage their property effectively. Learn with ecologists and naturalists about Eastern whip-poor-wills and other wildlife (e.g., owls, American woodcock) that may be observed during this evening survey. The survey work will be done around Ahmic Lake. Participation includes MWLT swag!
This event will take place on July 4th with July 5th as the raindate (advanced notice will be given if the date changes). The session will start at 8:30PM and run until 10:00PM. The session is capped at 20 participants. This is a family-friendly event, appropriate for ages 10+.
PLEASE NOTE: Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear appropriate footwear, and prepare for bugs. Information about meeting location and what to bring will be provided after registration.
