      How My Prints Work
      All packages (except headshots and some portrait sessions) include prints, giving you a set of prints for each retouched digital image you select. You’ll choose your print sizes after you receive your final gallery - no rush, no pressure, and no guesswork.
       
      What Are My Print Choices?
      For every retouched image in your package, you may choose one of the following:
      • 1 - 8x10
      • 2 - 5x7
      • 4 - 4x6
      • 1 sheet of 8 wallets
      Do they have to be the same photo?
      Nope! You can mix and match.
       
      For example:
      • Seniors: Your 8×10 might be your yearbook pose, while your smaller prints or wallets could be your cap & gown, sports, casual, or any other favorites. And if you prefer all of your prints to be the yearbook pose and keep the rest digital - that’s completely your choice!
      • Families: Your 8×10 might be the full family portrait, while your 5×7 pair might be perfect for grandparents, and your 4×6 prints could be individual photos of each child - plus an extra family photo for your desk at work. It’s entirely up to you.

      You won’t need to pick print sizes until after you choose your final images - I’ll walk you through everything.

       
      Can I Order Additional Photos?
      Absolutely! If you know you’ll want extras (like 8×10s for grandparents), I’ll send you home with a Print Price Sheet after your session.

      Why Are Prints Included? You Didn’t Offer This Before.
      Starting with 2026 sessions, prints are now included!

      Most families want at least one physical copy for grandparents, displays, or gifts, so instead of adding print fees later, every retouched image now comes with a matching print.
       
      This adds up to an $80 value for full senior packages (or $16 per image) and keeps everything simple, predictable, and ready to share.
       
      Are There Any Hidden Fees?
      Nope!
      • NJ Sales Tax is included in all package prices.
      • Additional photos are $55 each (and include matching prints unless otherwise noted).
      • All selected images are professionally retouched.
      • If you request anything outside of my normal retouching - or need extra time, extra locations, or additional outfit changes - I’ll let you know before any fees apply.
       
      What Does “Retouched” Mean?
      All retouching is done by me — no outsourcing, and no AI face/body editing.
      I use traditional professional Photoshop techniques for a natural, clean look:
      • Flyaway cleanup
      • Temporary blemish removal
      • Light background fixes
      • Shadow softening (including scars)
      • Freckles kept natural
      • No face or body reshaping (unless minor things are requested, like extra action under the chin, or removing skin folds from an awkward pose)
      You’ll look like you - just slightly polished.
       
      What Happens If It Rains?
      If weather becomes an issue for outdoor sessions, or a storm hits before your studio session, we can simply reschedule to the next available date. I always keep backup options so you never have to worry about losing your session.
       
      What Should We Wear?
      Once you book, your contract includes guidance on what to wear so your session runs smoothly.
       
      Can I Book Back-to-Back Session Types?
      Absolutely! Each session is booked separately, time permitting, and priced separately, but we can schedule them back-to-back so everyone gets exactly what they need without extra travel or setup. For example: you book a studio family session and then dad needs new headshots for work, and since he's already cleanly shaved and wearing a nice suit, and you're already there, why not take advantage. There is an additional $50 Back-to-Back Convenience Add-On fee that covers things like lighting adjustments and additional posing setup. However only 2 sessions can be back-to-back like:
      • Family Session + Dad's Headshot
      • Senior Session + Mom's Headshot
      • Senior Session + Family Session
      • Senior Session + Sibling Non-Senior Photo
      • EXCEPTION: Family Session + 2 or More Kids' Non-Senior Photos
       
      Deposit & Cancellation Policy
      A deposit is required to reserve your date. This deposit applies toward your session and secures your spot on the calendar.
      If you need to reschedule, just let me know - I’m pretty flexible.
      If you need to cancel, we’ll work out the details, but worst case you may lose the 25% non-refundable deposit.
       
      How Many People Are Included (for Family Sessions)?
      Family packages include up to 5 people. Additional people can be added as an upgrade.
       
      Do You Have Wraps, Tuxedos, Flowers, Cap & Gown, etc. for Senior Photos?
      Yes! I keep a full studio wardrobe:
      • Wraps in multiple sizes (petite to broad-shouldered)
      • Tuxedo jackets from size 34 to 52
      • Extra large-torso options with shirts that fit
      • Caps & gowns for many local schools
      • Tassels with the correct year charm (started with Class of 2027)
      • Props to make your session fun and personalized
      If you’re unsure about sizing, just ask - and if I need a new size for a tall or uniquely built senior, I can often order one.
      And yes… you’d be amazed what a few clamps (and a touch of Photoshop magic) can do!
       
      What Is the Turnaround Time?
      Proof gallery: Usually within 24–48 hours, sometimes even the same day.
      Final retouched images: Up to 6 weeks after after selections are made, depending on my queue.
      Prints: Typically arrive 1–2 weeks after your final digital images are delivered and your selections for which photos and sizes are communicated.
       
      Where Will Our Session Take Place?
      Studio sessions are held in Williamstown, NJ.
      Outdoor/on-location sessions can be at:
      • Fields
      • Parks
      • Schools
      • Or any location you prefer
      I see in your FAQ on your website that I can bring my pet for photos?
      Yes! Pets are totally welcome, depending on your session type. Just a heads-up: if you don't plan on choosing any photos with your pet, there's no reason to pay the extra fee.

      All I ask is that they’re well behaved and you bring someone to help handle them (or a carrier if needed). There’s a $15 pet fee, and a $25 “oops, they peed in the studio” fee if that happens. If any additional damage occurs beyond a simple potty mishap, you will be billed for the cost of repairs or replacement.
       
      For outdoor sessions, we'll just make sure the location is "pet friendly".
       
      Packages that include prints will say so in the description. Headshots are digital-only.

      Nonprofit Partnership Rate

      I’m proud to support nonprofit organizations whose mission aligns with my own values. Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations receive a reduced event rate of $235/hr (2-hour minimum) or 15-20% off standard event packages, depending on project scope. This special rate reflects my commitment to helping meaningful causes while still delivering the same professional quality and service.
       
      Important: Wedding photography is not offered. All pricing applies to non-wedding events only.

    • Senior Portrait Package

      Seniors and parents/guardians, please review the calendar below and click on a time slot to sign up. If you're booking for multiple seniors (twins, triplets, cousins, or best friends), try to select the last time slots so we can schedule your sessions back-to-back and include photos together. Thank you!

      The Senior Portrait is $245.00 (including NJ state sales tax) and includes 5 retouched digital photos available for download from mikehickmanphoto.com as well as prints of your selected photos. You can also purchase additional digital photos, prints, yard signs, and banners. This 45-60 minute session includes your yearbook photo (if applicable), cap & gown shots, and one casual outfit or sports jersey.

      Looking for more? Book a Studio Activity & Sports Session (30-45 minutes) for multiple outfits, full-body sports photos, club photos, and other creative shots. You’ll receive 3 additional retouched digital photos with specialty backdrops and props along with prints of your selected photos. (Please note this session does not include yearbook photos.)

      If you want to purchase extra photos, they are $55 and you'll get the digital as well as a print of each additional photo.

      What prints come with the digital photos above? You'll have your choice of 1 - 8x10, 2 - 5x7, 4 - 4x6 or 1 sheet of 8 wallets printed on premium photo paper with lustre finish for each photo. You can always purchase more prints (I'll give you a Print Price Sheet during your session with my current rates) when I send off your order or at a later date directly from the finished gallery.

       

      This session is not an outdoor session. If you're interested in an outdoor session (city, park, shore, etc.), please select one of the Outdoor Activity & Sports Session, or one of the other Senior Photography packages at the top of the page.       Before selecting a time, please note that if you see time slots already filled on the calendar for a specific date, I am likely in the studio photographing other clients and cannot leave for a non-studio session on those dates.       While we will take multiple angles for the yearbook (tuxedo or wrap) and can even get some cap & gown photos, this is for only the yearbook photo that will be submitted to your shool, but other photos can be purchased for $55 each. No casual, non-yearbook formal or sports photos will be taken.

      Who doesn't like professional photos of their kids? Whether your non-senior earned their black belt in karate, won a special award at school or you just want photos to document life.

    • Kindergarten Formal with Cap & Gown

      Parents/guardians, please review the calendar below (highlighted dates) and click on the time slot next to it to sign up. If you have multiple kindergarteners (twins/triplets, cousins or best friends), please attempt to take consecutive time slots so you will get the multiple sessions back to back, and we can take the time to get them done including photos together. Thank you!

      This session is $175 and includes NJ state sales tax. You will get 3 retouched digital photos for download from mikehickmanphoto.com, prints for each photo and have the option to purchase additional digital photos that will come with prints, yards signs and banners. This session is 30 minutes and includes a formal photos (tuxedo or wrap), cap & gown photos and one casual outfit. Additional photos can be purchased for $55.

    • If you schedule your session after your school’s yearbook submission date, please know that I won’t be able to submit your photo. The deadlines below are updated each school year.

      If your school isn’t listed above, that doesn’t mean I can’t submit to them - it simply means I haven’t worked with them yet. I’m happy to reach out on your behalf.

      The schools listed above do allow me to submit yearbook photos, and I already have all of their requirements - including the correct formal wear, wraps/tuxedos, background colors and cap & gown colors (even though those schools don’t use cap & gown photos for the yearbook).

      Please note that some schools do not accept photos from outside photographers and may require you to use their contracted photographer. I will contact your school before your session to confirm their policy.

      This does not mean I won’t photograph your senior - it simply means that if your school doesn’t accept outside submissions, you may still need to book with your school’s official photographer to appear in the yearbook.

      After you sign up, expect an email from photos@mikehickmanphoto.com confirming your time slot, what's included, what to wear and bring, where the session will be held and a contract that must be signed by an adult (you or your parent/guardian, if under 18). There will also be an invoice that can be paid the day of with cash or check, but if paying through online payment services, you'll see links to those services at the bottom. If using GMail, Yahoo or Comcast email, please check your spam/junk folder.       • Choice of fields, parks, small towns or location of your choice

      Perfect for: families wanting outdoor backgrounds, variety in posing, and the same high-quality studio lighting brought on-location.

       - Additional mileage outside radius charged at current IRS Standard Mileage Rates, plus location fees, tolls and parking if applicable.
