Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2024 Institute on Liturgy, Preaching and Church Music, to be held July 9–12, 2024, at Concordia University, Nebraska. The theme of the 2024 Worship Institute is “Songs of Deliverance: Psalms in the Great Congregation.”
Keynote presentations will explore the theology, history and use of the Psalter in the church’s worship life. Sermons preached and music heard at Divine Services and Prayer Offices will underscore this theme.
Institute attendees will also have opportunities for more focused learning and experience. Six session times will be held throughout the four-day conference. As at past Institutes, attendees will choose from a variety of 50-minute sessions offered at a given time.
LCMS Worship invites you to submit a topic to present at one or more sessions. Sessions may expand upon the Institute’s “Psalms” theme, or they may focus on perennial or fresh topics of interest to pastors, church musicians and friends of Lutheran worship.
A link to a list of possible presentations and topics is provided below; you may choose from this list or use it to develop your own presentation idea. Sessions will be reviewed and selected to provide a wide variety of topics for various skill levels, especially for those serving in the LCMS as they preach and lead the church’s salvation song.
