Quick Escape
From this form, you have the ability to electronically deliver your Domestic Violence or Gun Violence Restraining Order paperwork to the court via the internet saving a trip to the courthouse.
Once you submit your completed documents, they will be delivered to the court for review by the judge. Generally, requests for restraining orders that are submitted Monday through Friday by 3PM (excluding court holidays) will be reviewed by the judge the same day. If you have submitted your request after 3PM, on a weekend, or a court holiday, the forms will be delivered to the Judge by 10:30 AM the next day that court is in session. If you have submitted your request after hours and this is an emergency, please contact law enforcement or call 911. You can ask the law enforcement officer for an EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE ORDER ("EPO") to temporarily protect you until the judge reviews your restraining order request.
The judge will grant or deny the temporary restraining order based on the facts you provided in the Domestic Violence or Gun Violence Request forms. When you submit your completed forms, you will be given an option to have the certified copies mailed to a safe address, or you can choose to pick them up at the courthouse.
