SaddleBrooke Homeowners Association #2 appreciates your assistance in complying with federal statutes. The Fair Housing Amendment Act of 1988 requires that SaddleBrooke HOA #2 maintain records on and have available to Housing and Urban Development (HUD), statistics on the age mix of its residents. Since SaddleBrooke TWO is declared an age-restricted community, it must comply with the requirements of this Act.
In order for SaddleBrooke HOA #2 to maintain its current age restriction status, the Association must show that at least 80% of the homes be occupied by at least one person 55 years of age or older. The entirety of Section 3.0 of the Amended and Restated Association’s Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R’s) explains this regulation in further detail. Note that this applies to the occupants of your home, not necessarily the deeded owners.
Every two years, the Association is required to update its records to demonstrate compliance with the Fair Housing Amendment Act of 1988. Accordingly, we must update and renew our records. We appreciate you providing this information even though you may have done so in the past. By filling in the form below, the Association will be able to fulfill its reporting requirements. Please note that specific birth years are required since each year the Association’s age mix and percentage will change.
Please be aware that if any of the occupants of your home are below the age of 55 years, this does not imply a violation of the Act. The information is required solely to confirm the overall percentage of occupancy to HUD so that the community can maintain its age-restricted status. Please be assured that this request is to protect the interest of the association and your personal interest in SaddleBrooke TWO. It will be held strictly confidential. The specific information will only be supplied to HUD or under Judicial order.
