Research Information
Current projects include:
- Quanitfying and identifying microplastics found in plankton tows from the N. Pacific Gyre in collaboration with Algalita
- Analyzing snow samples from remote mountain peaks for microplastics, specifically microfibers in collaboration with A New Earth Project
- Determining characteristics of microplastics found in T. truncatus (Bottlenose Dolphin) and potential ingestion pathways in collaboration with the NC Marine Mammal Stranding Program and NC Division of Marine Fisheries
- Exploring microplastic characteristics within sea turtle nest sediment in collaboration with the Bald Head Island Conservancy
- Quanitfying and identifying microplastics found in grizzly bear scat from Katmai National Park in collaboration with Ocean Plastics Recovery Project
