AFSE Deserves a Fair Contract

Dear NEA President Becky Pringle and NEA Executive Director Kim Anderson,

Educators across the country are under attack and they deserve the skills and support of experienced staff to grow and strengthen our great union – the National Education Association.

The field staff at NEA, represented by the Association of Field Service Employees, have been working without a contract since midnight on June 1, 2023. As a part of the NEA family and broader labor community, I expect NEA to bargain in good faith with AFSE and settle a contract NOW.

No union should allow its staff to be out of contract. As the largest labor union in the country, I expect NEA to be a model of union values.

I stand in solidarity with the organizers of the Association of Field Service Employees.
