Volunteer Program Policies
Volunteering is done in two-hour shifts. Availability is first-come, first-served. Open shifts are shown on a scheduling site called When To Help and it is the your responsibility to find an open shift and fill it. It is also your responsibility to fulfill your shifts or notify the Museum if a conflict arises. Two "no-show" missed shifts will result in removal from the program*

If you're volunteering to meet a requirement from school, government or another type of organization, the Museum will sign off on forms. It is your responsibility to furnish and present them to the Museum staff.*

The Museum is a fast-paced place. We want you to be comfortable and ask that you wear jeans/shorts and t-shirt/sweatshirt plus comfortable walking shoes. We also ask that you arrive a few minutes early, so that you're ready-to-go at your start time.*
