Thank you for applying to the Brannon Curiel Visual Arts Scholarship!
Offered by The Vieyra Foundation for the Arts, this scholarship aims to support a talented visual art student in the pursuit of their artistic growth through education. Our organization aims to provide these students with the financial support needed to pursue art education. All scholarship contributions will come from the annual VBC Family Band Benefit Show at Sandhills Brewery, and from charitable donations from the community.
In past years, we have offered this scholarship to a performing arts student. However this year we lost one of our family members, Brannon Curiel. Brannon was an incredible visual artist, musician, and friend to everyone who knew him. We want to honor his memory by supporting a visual arts student this year. Recipients are chosen by The Vieyra Foundation for the Arts Scholarship Committee. Applicants are asked to describe their experience, how this financial support can be beneficial to their career, and to submit a picture or video of some of the work they feel most proud to share. The recipient chosen will have the proceeds from the VBC Family Band Benefit Show credited to their account at the education institution of their choice. The scholarship can be used towards university courses, lessons, summer programs, or other educational opportunities. The scholarhip will be for $1,000.
